Who else has TONS of clothes they've grown out of, or just don't wear anymore? I know I do! Plus, I personally love getting rid of the old and having some extra cash for new, fun stuff! I recently made $300 on Poshmark in a short amount of time so I thought I'd share my tips on how I did it! Most of my items are NOT name-brand so keep that in mind. If you are selling higher-end items you can probably make that money even quicker, and much more money too! Here are my 7 Tips:
1. BUILD UP YOUR CLOSET!
Have at least 5-10 items in your closet at a time. If you have an empty closet people might assume you don't know what you're doing yet and may pass up your closet whereas, if you have multiple items in there, they are more likely to browse around!
2. ADD/FOLLOW EVERYONE!
The more people who see your profile, the more chances you are of making sales!
3. PRICE YOUR ITEMS FAIRLY & BE FLEXIBLE.
I'm constantly changing the prices on my items. It stinks when you can't make the money you originally wanted to make but a sale is a sale, so it's better than nothing!
4. SHARE, SHARE, SHARE!
This is self-explanatory but basically you can share your items on all of your social media accounts PLUS you can share them to your Poshmark followers too. DO this every couple of days!
5. SHIP YOUR ITEMS FAST!
The quicker you can get your items in the mail to customers the higher your chances are of having them return to your closet to buy again.
6. HAVE QUALITY PICTURES!
Take good (well-lit) pictures of the items you are selling. This creates a "prettier" closet and also allows the buyer to get a good idea of what the items actually look like.
7. GIVE GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Make suer to monitor your comments on your items because a lot of people will have questions about the condition of the product if you weren't clear in your descriptions. A timely response allows them to make a quicker decision before they become uninterested.
Well, there you have it! These are how I make sales on Poshmark and it has honestly been a nice little side income for me now. I've only been on for a month or two and have made a good amount of sales too. Let me know if you have any good tips for Poshmark that I missed!
