Hey guys! I'm FINALLY sharing our pictures from our New York trip so be prepared for a very photo-heavy post today. Blake and I vacationed in NYC at the beginning of December and had a blast seeing the city for the holidays. We have both been to New York before but never together and never for the holidays so we did all of the touristy things and saw the Rockefeller tree, the Christmas windows at Saks, etc. It was a quick trip and we walked over 30 miles in 3 days! We left Aira at home with my parents and she did incredible! She was a little over 9 months and I pumped like crazy before we left. She was easy for them and didn't seem to miss me at all (which is what I wanted lol)!
I'm putting together a little Travel guide for you below if you want to check it out, if not here are the pictures from our trip! So glad you stopped by to check it out!
NYC: THINGS TO DO FOR CHRISTMAS TIME
Rockefeller Tree and Saks Fifth Avenue windows- This is the most touristy thing you can do and be prepared for a very large crowd. It's a must see if you've never done NYC at Christmas but I'm not sure I'd fight the crowds again in the future. The tree was unbelievable though!
230 Fifth Rooftop Bar & Lounge- This was a really fun (and different) place to hang out! We went after a broadway show one night and it has the best views of the city! We got spiked hot cocoa and they have some sweet little bubbles you can sit in to stay warm on the roof too. Don't forget to ask for one of their signature red robes to keep warm with!
Bridges- It's so fun to walk across a bridge in NYC. We were going to do the Brooklyn bridge but it was super busy so we ended up walking across the Queens Bridge and we had it all to ourselves. It was a great view of the city and Roosevelt Island!
Broadway- We saw Aladdin (LOVED) and School of Rock. Both were really amazing. You can't go to NYC without seeing a broadway show. For School of Rock, we got tickets on Times Square and sat on the second level. They were pretty cheap seats and we still had a great view.
Bryant Park- Always go to Bryant park whether it's Christmas time or not! Haha I just love it. At Christmas they have vendors set up everywhere with food and gifts. They also had a big tree and ice-skating rink!
The Plaza & Central Park- The Plaza was decorated beautifully and was fun to see! Central Park is right next to the Plaza so we rented bikes and biked through the park which was fun, but also tiring. There are some hills in the park so beware! There is also ice-skating in Central Park too!
Union Square- This was a similar set-up to Bryant Park minus the ice-skating and tree. There were lots of vendors and a little less crowded with people. This is a different part of town too so that was fun for us to explore.
Food- Little Italy has great pizza, duh! We got pizza there, and then my other favorite place to eat was Laduree in Soho. If you're into fancy brunches then you'll love this place. I was in heaven the entire time we were there and the food was to die for! Someone please take me back.
I hope this helps you plan a trip to NYC in the future! We had a blast and then needed a vacation from our vacation once we got home haha. Let me know in the comments if you know of somewhere I need to go next time I visit NYC!
